REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1) It seems that Paul cannot catch a break. He survives a great shipwreck and plays a significant part in the survival of 276 men. And yet, while he is working by gathering firewood to warm everyone up, he is bitten by a viper. It just doesn’t seem fair. Think of time in your life when things were not fair. Then compare your response to Paul’s response.

2) Finally, upon arrival at Rome, Paul is allowed to live by himself, but he has a Roman soldier always guarding him. How did this hinder Paul in his mission? What is the lesson for us?

3) Paul used his “normal” strategy for sharing the gospel when he reached a new city. What is that strategy? Why did he choose it? Was it effective? Identify an insight from the answer to that question.

4) Contemplate how the Book of Acts ends. Is it good or bad? What is the take-away for us?
