1) In the creation account, what are some of the “take-aways” in regards to the creation of humankind? Contemplate on God’s pronouncement that all that he had made was very good. What are the implications?
2) How is God described in Psalm 104? In what ways is the sovereignty of God identified? How are we to respond to our great and majestic God?
3) How is the Gospel of John different from the other three Gospels when speaking about the first coming of Jesus? John 1:17 (NIV84) “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” – What is the relationship between, the law, grace, and truth?
4) Jesus uses the word “truth” four times in the beginning of John 3. Why the emphasis on truth? Identify truths in this scripture. The word “believe” is used seven times. What is meant by believe?
5) Contrast the river of the water of life and Jacob’s well where Jesus meets the Samaritan woman. Why should Jesus’ Second Coming matter to us? Come is a word of invitation. In these last few verses of scripture, what is the criteria for those invited to come?
