There is a mistake in the sermon. Jesus was not brought to the Temple when he was eight days old. On the eighth day, he would have been circumcised. The “time of purification” for Mary would have been 33 days. Thus, Jesus was at least 41 days old when presented at the Temple. None of this affects the meaning of the message, but I just want to be accurate.
