REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1) Why do churches, preachers, and Jesus talk so much about money? (Do they?)
2) In what ways are the scriptures about the Temple Tax and the Roman Tax related?
3) If all things are God’s to begin with, what does it mean to say? “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
4) Give examples of the things that belong to “Caesar” and things that belong to God. Have you ever had trouble making those distinctions (if you were even making them)?
5) Examine the circumstances of Jesus’ opponents trying to trap him. What was the trap? What are the implications of using this kind of trap?
6) What might be the significance of Jesus paying the Temple Tax for Peter too?
